Asian has alot of acne problem because of weather that hot and humidity. The bacteria is so happy on the face! We need special acne skin care. Don’t say it’s not necessary because acne cause a lot of thing. Panic, Inconfident, Hurt and itch. All of that can be from acne.
Oh my. I have been face this problem for a long time since 13 and now I am 27 years old and still got a little bit acne on my face. I have luck because I don’t have alot of acne until I die.
There is some acne skin care product that I know from friends and myself found it good. “Proactiv is great solution for acne treatment”, my friend said.
Well I have never used that before because it’s kind of expensive, but my friend said they guarantee money back or something.
Above is Asian acne treatment, you can see it’s better a lot. My face just look like that before.
Let’s see here what I use for acne skin care.
*Please note that I am not try to advertise these products or anything. Below information is from myself. Be careful to apply to yourself.
For a big red pimple which is I had a lot on my face. This is difficult to cure and hurt and can cause you a big scar (which is I have alot on my face right now)
The rules is don’t touch, don’t scratch or anything to annoy them. Use Penoxyl Gel (Look the image on the left) apply a small amount, just cover the pimple, each night after clean and dry your face.
This can burn your face, just remember to apply very thin layer on pimple. At a first time use, try 2.5% and you can change later to 5% when you think this product is not burn your face.
Try not to face the sun because that can make your face worse. Apply and leave it on your face, not clean after.
To clean your face you need only soap for acne skin care. Acne skin is really sensitive, don’t use scrub or mask. Try Acne aid cleansing bar. This is product for acne and sensitive skin. My face can’t use other product because other products are too strong for my face and cause me more acne. This product also available in gel for convinion.
For black head, you can use Retin-A and apply a little amount also because this one also burn your face. You can try 0.025% first after you feel it can’t burn your face anymore try 0.01%.
Please remember that you can use this one only night time and thin layer on black head or red/black spot only. Not all over your face. And if you use this product, you need to use sunblock for your day time, your skin will be more sensitive to light. Also to prevent the irritation, you should use Retin-A only every other night. Not every night. You need go to see doctor to remove black head if need. Do not try to squeeze by yourself.
Above products for night time only. Do not apply the other on your face except light moisturizers lotion (not cream!
Then daytime! Clean your face with acne aid soap and use AHA 7% Toner after dry your face. After that you can apply Penoxyl just for a big red pimple (some of them) and make sure you will not be in the sun and sweat!
After that 10 - 15 min you can apply sunblock lotion, moisturizers lotion. (The better way is find some moisturizers lotion that can be sunblock also) Do not use the one that clog your pore. Try neutrogena or something that really light thing. Do not make your face grossy.
You can wash your face with water at lunch also. Remember clean your hand well all the time and don’t touch your face.
This can help alot and it’s a good way for acne skin care. Cheer!

Wow, thanks for your tips on caring for acne skin. I used to have bad acne and I tried Proactiv, it worked the 1st time but stopped working as time went by. Now I am taking oral contraceptive, i find they work the best for me. I still have blackhead though so might try out the Retin A cream like you recommended.

I heard about astringents. Is astringents are effective in preventing acne ?, so I’ll heard about astringents reducing its ability to absorb water, well nice info about acne treatment article I ever read.

as for me, i used 3 sets of ProActiv already but the acne would just return when my supplis are gone.. i also tried Murad but my acne just worsened… i guess we Asians really have to try using Asian products which are especially made and formulated for our skin type… i used a greentea facial wash from Korea, its by Deoproce and i never had a single pimple…

i have proactive the first few times it worked great my acne began to disapear but then after a while it came back no matter how much i wash it. now i use proactive and a oxy clean. i use oxy in the morrning and the proactive at night. i guess my skin just creates a immunity to anything. but anyway my skin is smooth its just i have red scars on it it’ll probably heal in a couple of months.
